Esist(enzialism)o, resisto, esisto, quale sarà l’esodo, no, l’esito?
Da tempo, dovete sapere, che annoto in un mio diario di bordo, anche di “brodo”, le mie lungimiranti sapienze e i periodi riflessivi della mia titubante, turbolenta “dormienza”. Me ne “accas(ci)o” e lascio che la scia dei miei pensieri s’emozioni in parole vergate di cor(po), ove il fegato ribolle, “rimbrotta”, lo stomaco mio s’aggroviglia e borbotta, narro di quando feci a botte e di tutte quelle fedifraghe che scansai, dette anche bottane! Di come, da piccolo, mi sollazzavo a cacciar lucertole con la cerbottana e di come divenni nell’adolescenza un cervo, anche un “cieco”, scorrazzando nella valle speranzosa del più felice e dolce (do)ma(n)i. Di come or mi domo e poi d’addormo, di come ancor il cervello, come un uccello, non riposo e di come l’altra guancia non porgo, di come son talvolta sporco e annuso le altrui (s)fighe anch’io, peccando gravemente, d’invidia, cercando negli “orrori” del prossimo le ragioni della mia Odissea esistenzialista. Sì, da anni non mi do pace e vivo di emozioni nere come la bubbonica pece, scusate, peste. Impestato che io sono, mangio il pesto e le mie tante dignità sempre calpesterò, perché cerco nel Ver(b)o la vita stessa che per sua natura intrinseca è spesso portatrice di mille sventure, miei compagni di ventura vogliosi di “sventole”. “Sventolatelo”… questo furore e sappiatelo imprigionare laddove l’unica prigionia sia la vera, consistente, (s)piacevole vi(t)a. Da tempo non conosco i centri cittadini, non so se li hanno restaurati e, al cinema in compagnia, preferisco lo “streaming” del farmi i film miei. Aspettando in silenzio Silence di Scorsese, che ne sarà di me dopo la morte dei sen(s)i, ché le donne di grembo lussu(ri)oso non procreano più né latte poderoso “seminano” per far crescere il maschio vigoroso e di cazzo che sappia ove metter il “becco?”.
Ah ah, vi siete beccati quest’altra, e ora in mar(cia).

Paradise Beach Dentro l’incubo, il primo trailer italiano ufficiale
È uscito, un po’ a sorpresa, il primo teaser trailer italiano della Sony Pictures IT, casa distributrice del film, di Paradise Beach: Dentro l’incubo.
Titolo originale, The Shallows, interpretato dalla bella e longilinea Blake Lively, (Adeline – L’eterna giovinezza) e diretto dallo specialista, oramai, dei film d’azione statunitensi con maggior adrenalina, cioè Jaume Collet-Serra, autore di numerose collaborazioni con Liam Neeson (vedi Non-Stop e Run all Night), col quale presto lavorerà di nuovo per The Commuter.
Paradise Beach, come si può intuire facilissimamente sin dalle prime immagini, è il cosiddetto oramai collaudato shark movie, ove stavolta la nostra eroina si trova “bloccata” su una roccia sporgente distante “solo” 18 metri dalla costa. Distanza che sembra però impossibile da superare perché, fra lei e la riva, c’è uno squalo gigantesco, pericoloso e famelico, pronto a sbranarla alla prima “mossa falsa”.

Robert De Niro Defends “Personal” Decision To Screen Anti-Vaccination Docu At Tribeca Film Fest As Protests Mount
Tribeca Film Festival co-founder Robert De Niro today took direct responsibility for the fest’s world-premiere screening of Vaxxed: From Cover-Up To Catastrophe, a documentary about a purported link between the MMR (measles/mumps/rubella) vaccine and an uptick in autism. That claim has been widely discredited in the medical community.
The controversy has provoked angry confrontations between those convinced of a conspiracy to cover-up the “truth” about the vaccine’s potential for irreversible damage and those who insist that no such link exists and that denying children the vaccination puts an enormous population at grave risk. Giving the film a major platform, they say, legitimizes a “debate” where none exists. Today’s statement from De Niro fanned the flames already surrounding the scheduled screening next month.
De Niro and his wife, Grace Hightower, “have a child with autism and we believe it is critical that all of the issues surrounding the causes of autism be openly discussed and examined,” De Niro said in a statement distributed by the TFF Friday afternoon. “In the 15 years since the Tribeca Film Festival was founded, I have never asked for a film to be screened or gotten involved in the programming. However this is very personal to me and my family and I want there to be a discussion, which is why we will be screening Vaxxed. I am not personally endorsing the film, nor am I anti-vaccination; I am only providing the opportunity for a conversation around the issue.”
It’s precisely that “conversation” that has drawn fire, however, from critics of the anti-vaccination movement in general and Vaxxed in particular. The film is directed by Andrew Wakefield, a gastroenterologist who first asserted the link in 1998 in a study based on 12 patients. Subsequent to its publication, Wakefield’s work was disavowed by The Lancet, the prestigious medical journal that first gave weight to his argument. After further investigation, Wakefield was stripped of his medical license. Later studies dismissed the idea of a link between MMR and autism, while the medical establishment responded emphatically that denying children the vaccine put the whole population at risk of contracting childhood diseases that had been all but erased.
“Andrew Wakefield has become one of the most reviled doctors of his generation, blamed directly and indirectly, depending on the accuser, for irresponsibly starting a panic with tragic repercussions: vaccination rates so low that childhood diseases once all but eradicated here — whooping cough and measles, among them — have re-emerged, endangering young lives,” The New York Times reported in a 2011 profile.
Yet the TFF promotional material could easily be taken to endorse Wakefield’s cause. “Digging into the long-debated link between autism and vaccines, Vaxxed: From Cover-Up to Catastrophe features revealing and emotional interviews with pharmaceutical insiders, doctors, politicians, parents, and one whistleblower to understand what’s behind the skyrocketing increase of autism diagnoses today.” Also this: “The most vitriolic debate in medical history takes a dramatic turn when senior-scientist-turned-whistleblower Dr. William Thompson of the Centers for Disease Control turns over secret documents, data and internal emails confirming what millions of devastated parents and ‘discredited’ doctors have long-suspected.”
Penny Lane, a documentary filmmaker with strong links to the TFF and an interest in quack doctors (“NUTS!” about a Depression-era doctor who used goat testicle transplants to “cure” impotence, was shown at the Sundance Film Festival), released an open letter to Tribeca on the issue.
“Tribeca Film Festival, I love you but you made a very serious mistake,” Lane wrote. “Very possibly, some people will walk away from your festival having been convinced, in part because of your good name and the excellence and integrity of your documentary programming, not to vaccinate their children. And very possibly people will die as a result.”
As of this writing, Vaxxed is scheduled to have its world premiere at the TFF on April 24, followed by a public discussion with the creators and subjects of the film after the screening.
Deepwater Horizon, il trailer originale del disaster movie con Mark Wahlberg e Kurt Russell
La Lionsgate Movies, attraverso il proprio canale ufficiale YouTube, ha rilasciato il primo, affascinante e sobrio trailer dello spettacolare Deepwater Horizon.
Trama: il film si rifà abbastanza coerentemente, in stile però hollywoodiano, a un evento tragico di proporzioni colossali, davvero accaduto nel non tanto lontano 20 Aprile 2010, quando un manipolo di operai che lavoravano, appunto, sulla piattaforma petrolifera “Deepwater Horizon”, sopravvissero con grinta, orgoglio e sprezzo del pericolo, inaudito coraggio e spirito indomabile a una drammatica, inaspettata, enorme esplosione.
Diretto da Peter Berg e interpretato nel ruolo da protagonista da Mark Wahlberg, tanto per cambiare… i due infatti sono appunto oramai un duo collaudatissimo e inseparabile, vedi, ad esempio, la loro precedente collaborazione in Lone Survivor e la loro prossimissima réunion in Patriots Day.
Per quanto concerne, invece, Deepwater Horizon, il cast, oltre al citato Wahlberg, può vantare un parterre niente male, che va da Kurt Russell (la storia può ricordare, per certi versi, Fuoco assassino) a Kate Hudson (figlia “adottiva” peraltro di Russell) sino al redivivo John Malkovich.
