The Irishman! De Niro conferma il film di Scorsese con Pacino e Pesci
Robert De Niro contends that his long-planned mob movie “The Irishman” — to be directed by Martin Scorsese and co-starring Al Pacino and Joe Pesci — is still in the works.
“We have been trying to do [the film] for the last few years, and I think we will do it,” De Niro says in the art publication Flatt, of the project, which fans have been buzzing about for years.
“It’s based on [the] book ‘I Heard You Paint Houses’ by Charles Brandt. It’s about a guy who . . . confessed that he killed Hoffa and Joe Gallo. I’m gonna play that character. That’s something I’m looking forward to very much . . . I think it will [happen] . . . we’re really working towards making it happen.”
De Niro will celebrate his Flatt cover at the National Arts Club on Feb. 27.
